Rent the lodge completely for yourselves to get the experience of what it is like to own a lodge in Africa!
Zebras Crossing is child-friendly and ideal for families and groups who love nature and would love to see a variety of animals up close while staying in an elegant charming lodge.
Many overseas guests enjoy it as a place to really rest after a long flight from outside of South Africa to recharge the batteries while surrounded by animals for 2-4 nights, before beginning their Big 5 safaris.
Executive bush outings, small team building.
Family intimate celebrations
What can I do at the lodge?
Relax, enjoy a stunning very exclusive lodge, short walks or long hikes, drive in our game viewer, supervised zebras and meerkats feedings, and of course swim in the summer. Children and adults can bring bicycles and cycle… plus there is rich bird life, a charming bush bed area, table tennis, children’s play space and more.
Any activities in the area (outside of the Zebras Crossing lodge)?
Yes… for golfers there are 3 golf courses, the closest a mere 18 mins away. For small and big kids there is the Monkey Rehabilitation Centre where you can interact with baby monkeys (it is a wonderful outing!), South Africa’s biggest crocodile farm (approx. 40,000 crocodiles) and an elephant sanctuary where you can book elephant interactions – including riding. The best Zipline in Limpopo is near, a fishing farm, back horse big 5 safari are a short drive away & Shops and some restaurants are available in nearby Modimolle (15 mins drive).
Can I do teambuilding/conferences there?
Yes. We have a beautiful conference centre, but because we only offer accommodation for up to 16 guests (in 6 suites) we suggest Zebras only for small executive conferences or getaways with small groups of key clients.
Is it Safe?
No need to be worried about danger or accidents. By all means be careful, but we take great pride in not having had any really bad accidents at the lodge (apart from a strained ankle or so). For peace of mind we have doctors and ambulances a few minutes away and two hospitals (between 15 to 35 mins depending on the severity). There are no big 5 animals so you can walk around freely and enjoy the beautiful nature!
